 |
|
I'm seriously looking to buy a Z16 within the next month or two.
1. Less than 30,000 miles.
2. Fairly stock, no rear wings, extra paint, etc.
3. On the Eastern side of the US preferred, but would travel for a clean car at a great price.
Thanks!

Hi Al,
When I was looking for mine, I found quite a few on Autotrader. If I remember right, there was one or two on the east coast. I almost bought one in AZ until I checked my local Craig's List and found mine there.
Good Luck with the hunt! _________________ #347 of 2025

I've been on there, just didn't know if there was someone on the fence about selling that hasn't confessed...I'm eyeing one in PA now.
Anyone have information on #1811?
Another one I found one in FL and the guy had replaced the clutch, master cylinder, slave cylinder and belts after 64K...is that normal? _________________ FlyinTiger

Go here & type in the last 6 digits of the VIN.

The one in FL sounds like it may have been abused some, but that's just my opinion. _________________ #347 of 2025

I found it after I had posted the question...I guess I should have looked around a little more on the website. _________________ FlyinTiger

I thought about this very car when I was looking. It's only about an hour from me. If you get serious about it, I can go look at it for you. One of the reasons it shows 4 owners is that the original owner had it twice. Here's his post on Corvette Forum.

Yes, that was the one in PA. I didn't make it that far since the right car was up in Gaithersburg, Maryland. Yesterday I bought #1156 with a little more than 13,000 miles from the second owner, Joe Carroll. The car was not listed for sale anywhere, he just contacted me here on the Z16 forum when he saw I was looking. _________________ FlyinTiger

From Joe, "I am the second owner, bought it in June of 2005 with 6700 miles from Rockmont Chev. in Rockville. It has around 13.5k miles and has been sort of a garage queen since I bought it. "
My "new" car is immaculate inside and out...it looks and smells new. Thank you Joe. I learned a few tips about washing and waxing from him during our conversations. He kept the undercarriage spotless and added only a couple of practical modifications.
1. Intake venturi
2. MGW short shifter
3. Exhaust Plate
4. Lettering on the steering wheel, passenger side dash and back
5. AC Delco ceramic brake pads front and rear
6. Bright white headlights, not sure of the brand
7. Partition - the one with the smoked window and leather front
8. Black rubber Bowtie floormats (on top of originals)
9. PIAA Xtreme White Bulbs
The stock exhaust sounds great from the inside the car where it counts. I enjoy the note from the Ti exhaust.
I'll stay stealth...don't need anyone noticing the car more than they already do!

My wife agrees, she's a looker! I even let her drive it for an hour on the way home. She couldn't believe the acceleration in third gear...it pulled her hand off of the shifter!
